#19 - 1993 Ford Ranger
This was our first shop truck. In 2001 I quit my job at Central Truck & Equipment which was also the Coors Distributor & this was a draft service truck that I serviced & maintained the ten years that I worked there. After quitting, my brother and I started our own business taking on the name Campbell Ent., a business our dad & uncle started in 1970. We did anything & everything insuring we had money at the end of the week. Our first job was putting in a clutch on a 1985 Chevy & the Ranger was our payment. We needed a shop truck to run parts & haul iron. Not to mention she became my daily driver for over 18 years. I loved beating the shit out of it. It became a family tradition to pile all four of us in it to get a Christmas tree every year. The last few years were pretty tight as the kids grew lol! I remember leaving the shop one Christmas morning w/ Wayland & Bailey, jumping out of the water retention pond, they were maybe 7 & 8 years old and loved to catch air. I remember hang’n out at the shop late one night having drinks w/ Big Mike & Ron until they were toast & decided to leave when they backed up in Ron’s new truck right into the power pole almost knocking it over, luckily it hit it square on his hitch not even scratching his bumper. Then when they pulled on to Gilbert Rd, I thought it would be fun to pass them on the outside in my Ranger forgetting they had just ripped the asphalt up. There was a deep square curb blowing out three of the four tires on the truck & they didn’t even see it happen right next to them. I struggled to get it back in the yard, praying the police didn’t show up lol. You can imagine the stories this truck could tell. We loved it & just recently gave it to my Nephew, Kory. I miss it every day.
